FunCakes' Marzipan Icing has a fine texture when rolling and a firm set, making it perfect for covering cakes, modelling and cutting out shapes.
FunCakes' coloured marzipan has a sugar to almond ratio of 1:4 (20% almonds), meaning it is super flexible and easy to work with.
Its fine structure and malleability lets you create sharp edges and smooth finishes for professional results every time.
To cover a round 10" cake, you'll need approximately 500g of FunCakes Marzipan.
You can also use this marzipan for modelling, with the addition of CMC Tylo powder. Add one full teaspoon of Tylo per 250g of marzipan. Add a small amount of water if necessary.

To use:

Let the marzipan come to room temperature.
Knead the marzipan firmly until smooth and elastic.
Dust your work surface with icing sugar and roll out the marzipan with a rolling pin to an even circle of 2-3mm thickness.
TOP TIP: if there are still small cracks visible on the edges when the marzipan is rolled out, knead again firmly until the edges are completely smooth once rolled out.
Turn the marzipan a quarter to prevent sticking.
Lifting the marzipan with your rolling pin, gently drape over your cake!
